This is so ridiculous! I couldn't believe my ears when I heard the HP tech say someone could remotely login and fix the software on the MAC and then we would need to buy a new printer. Oh by, the way it would only cost us a one time fee of $169.99 for them to upgrade the software. For CRIPES SAKES!!! It's a MAC. Updating software is a couple of clicks. And then you still have to buy a new printer. On top of it, the tech really didn't want us to take the printer or the MAC to a local vendor because we would be without the computer for days. Are you kidding?? We're heading to buy a new printer and guess what HP....it sure as HELL won't be another HP!!!

Problem happened to me at crunch time. Printer used very lightly. Purchased new ink ... $100 later and after I replace my cartridges THEN the printer spews "0xc19a0023". Tried all the recommendations, except 5, and none worked. Now I've spent a lot of money to replace the ink, haven't got the prints I want and the closest resolution is that I must "buy a replacement part".

Nice HP {sarcastic}.

I bought a HP Officejet Pro 6830 14 Months ago. The first two were replaced thanks to error 0xc19a0023. A procedure that involved a huge waste of my time and petrol and doing without for several weeks. Now the third machine has gone the same way. My advice is for get the procedures above - they are just black magic - you may as well try changing your socks. Stick the stupid thing on the bin and buy a make that works.

If you're not happy with HP printers, for the love of god, don't even think about buying one of their laptops.
